The Gazette is one of the most popular visual kei bands of the moment. Like almost all Japanese hard rock groups, have take a long time to become famous and appreciated Pima and started their career rather quietly. have been formed March 10, 2002 with Uruha (丽) (guitar), Reita (れ いた) (bass), Ruki (ルキ) (singer), Aoi (葵) (guitar) and Yune (drummer). On April 30, 2002 with the debut single "Wakaremichi" in this period were signed to indie label Matina. In 2003, Yune decided to leave the band and was replaced by Kai (戒) (current leader of the band), and in March the PS Company puts them under contract. On May 28, 2003 they released their first mini-album, Cockayne Soup "and begin their first tour together with Hanamuke. For the duration of their second tour will be accompanied by a rather 'other famous j-rock band, Vidoll.
December 28 to take part in 'event organized by the magazine "Fool's Mate" Beauti-fool's Fest '03, along with the likes of Kra, lab., Gullet, Pink Halleluja, deadman, Miyavi, D'espairsRay, Daigo Stardust, Merry and MUCC.
On January 16, 2004 they released their first live DVD and open their official fan club. On March 30, 2004 released their mini-album "Madara" reaching the 2nd position of the 'Oricon Indies Chart. In May they released a DVD containing all the videos and behind the scenes of the mini-album "Madara". Also in May leaving for a tour with two bands signed to PS Company, Kra and bis.

After a long series of mini-album, October 13, 2004 finally released their first full-length album "Disorder" which peaked at No. 5 of 'Oricon Daily Chart. On August 3, 2005
out another mini-album titled "Gama". On December 6, 2005 released the single "Cassis" which throws them towards success finally entering the top 10 of 'Oricon Chart. And again in December changed their name from the Gazette to The Gazette.
L '8 February 2006, her second album "NIL". From this moment the band began to shape up even outside Japan, particularly in Europe. The July 28 to 30 take their first two Asians do not live in Bonn, Germany during the German Anime & Manga Convention and Animagic. Meanwhile
out the singles "REGRET", "Filth In The Beauty" and "Hyena". On 4 July 2007 the new album "Stacked Rubbish" reaching the 2nd position of the 'Oricon Chart and August 24 released the European version.
In October the band goes on a European tour in Britain, Finland, France and Germany (a great tour, real college?).
Last exit on February 13 with the new collection of individual "Guren", whose eponymous track is used in the spot of the "Gem Cerey," notes Japanese jewelry company.
